NoOoooOOooO
These things can be decieving! They may look like an average figurine to an outsider. But in reality, an artist might've spent hours and hours crafting the thing, making it highly valuable. Others are just rare, and many are one of a kind.

Worth noting that the action-figure collector said they live at home with their parents, having moved back in after caring for their brother for over a decade. They're saving up money to leave, and collecting these action figures in the meantime has been a small pleasure, giving them genuine joy during an otherwise dark time.
Now, in a comment replying to another person, this guy shared that the lock on their door doesn't work, and they'd have to replace the whole door to fix that. “I've never had good privacy in this house tbh,” they added.
I get that, but also, there are locks for basically any type of door you can imagine, and I hope this person can find one that suits their needs. Even if it's just something temporary, something is better than nothing.

It's true… the kid has learned from Dad.
It seems like the Dad did offer some solutions, but they're rather shady, aren't they? I don't know that this guy can really win here if the brother is already offering to pay. You can't discipline someone else's kid, even if that kid is your nephew.
In addition… this person wants the kid to learn a lesson about the value of 8 hours of work, but I just don't think you can truly learn that lesson until you're working an actual job, not just doing chores around the house.
Let's hope this person shares how they navigated this situation, and hopefully they and their family members figure out a compromise.
